Lets assume from the start that you have actually tried to lose weight. Youve tried many diets, got out the walking shoes and elevated your heart rate. Initially, you were encouraged because the scale was going down, but 10-15 pounds later you hit the wall and now nothing seems to be working.

It may not be your fault!

You may be neurotoxic. It is no surprise that we live in a world that is full of toxins. There are heavy metals, like mercury, lead, and aluminum in the drinking water, medications and vaccinations, in the silver fillings of your mouth and the make-up you put on your skin. The household products we use to keep our homes clean and smelling fresh are full of poisons that are toxic to our bodies. In addition, the mold that is in your basement or hiding behind the drywall, emits a powerful biotoxin that is hazardous to health.

These toxins have an affinity to the fat cells of our bodies. We are made up of approximately 73 trillion cells. Each has two layers of fat that make up the cells walls. In addition, our nerves have a sheath of fat that surrounds the individual nerve fibers. These toxins can bind to the cell and interfere with the way our tissues and nerves communicate.

In relation to weight loss, there is a hormone called Leptin. It is produced in our fat cells. It tells your brain how much fat to burn, when to burn it, and when to stop burning fat for energy. Logically, you would think, if I am overweight I should produce more of this hormone called Leptin to talk to my brain, so I should be able to lose that weight gain without really doing anything.

Neurotoxins prevent Leptin from attaching to a part of the brain called the Hypothalamus. So you have high levels of Leptin circulating in the brain yelling and screaming at the Hypothalamus to burn fat, but it cant respond. As a result, you cant lose weight.

An important side note, neurotoxicity can also cause sleep disorders, constant thirst, sex hormone issues, inability to deal with stress, always getting colds, as well as causing chronic muscle and joint pain. They are also linked to degenerative conditions like Alzheimers, Parkinsons, ALS, and Multiple Sclerosis.

So what can you do about this desperate issue? There are three tiers of testing that we do to determine if someone is neurotoxic. A specialized questionnaire is filled out to understand the depth of the issue. In addition, an eye test, called a visual contrast scan, is performed. Neurotoxicity affects the optic nerve which in turn affects the ability to see contrast. Blood and urine testing is done to determine the source of the neurotoxins.

Once the source of the toxins is determined, an individual patient program is designed to address your health needs. As a result the body heals, and you lose weight.
